Dr Cheng Kai (CK) Jin

CK is a clinician by training but has taken an atypical path in medicine, combining data science with healthcare. He has been working at this intersect since 2019, supporting the COVID-19 response within his last role. He is currently the clinical director for Health NZ's AI laboratory, responsible for safely introducing AI technologies at Health NZ. His experience spans predictive modelling, clinical decision support systems, generative AI and the development of frameworks for responsible AI use in healthcare settings and is a current member of Health New Zealand’s National AI and Algorithm Expert Advisory Group.
